些か旧聞に属します。チベット歴史学関係の既発表論文を編集しなおしたコンピレーション物です。編集方針をめぐって、テーマが限定的であるとか、現代史の視点が欠けているとか、幾つかの異論があるのは確かです。しかしこのことは同時に、現在のチベット史学がこのような一冊の編集物ではまとまりきれないほどの進化と深化を遂げたことを示しているようにも思います。
